Job Overview

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Reporting to: Head of Investment Banking

Participate, as part of the Investment Banking team, in the sourcing and execution of financial advisory mandates (including mergers, acquisitions, debt and equity financing, strategic advisory etc.)

Key Responsibilities

◼ Build financial models from scratch, be comfortable applying common and generally accepted valuation methods (DCF, multiples, LBO, etc.) and calculation of key ratios (ROCE, ROE, equity to assets, debt to equity, DSCR) to support marketing and transaction execution processes

◼ Assist senior bankers in advising client’s management on valuation, process and due diligence to ensure the process moves smoothly towards closure

◼ Undertake in-depth financial analysis and participate in the execution of M&A and capital markets transactions (Buy-side, Sell-side, Mergers, IPOs, rights issues and private placements) in the MENA region, including preparation of transaction related documentation

◼ Provide marketing / business development support to senior bankers, including drafting pitches, company profiles, ad-hoc analysis etc.

◼ Follow trends and general current events in the MENA markets and keep senior bankers informed about critical issues in the news relevant to current and/or potential clients

◼ Manage and train Analysts. Perform any other duties related to the job as assigned by the direct supervisor, including general administrative tasks related to team, clients, marketing etc.

Financial Analysis, Valuation & Modeling
Advanced understanding of valuation methodologies & accounting concepts; expert level Excel skills, able to independently design and develop clear and well structured financial models, including guiding analysts. Checks analysts work for correctness and evaluates quality of analyses applying superior attention to detail
Client & Process Management
Ensures team members are aware of client culture and adapt accordingly; defines level of client involvement on projects; identifies and monitors key client sensitivities related to project; develops strong working relationships with mid-level client contacts; proactively communicates stated and unstated issues to senior bankers
Transaction Execution and Structuring
Sound understanding of transaction process and mechanics, good understanding of legal & regulatory constraints & ability to suggest adjustments to adapt transaction structures. Ability to determine need for external advice
Presentation & Communication
Owns story-lining and output to support a complete project component; ensures accuracy, sourcing of all materials; adds executive summaries and conclusions to documents; ensures proper flow; concisely articulates the essence of an idea or analysis. Confidently speaks to relevant business/technology information to progress discussions; presents own module; exhibits poise and presence

EXPERIENCE:

At least 5 Years’ experience in Investment Banking or Strategy Consulting firm preferably with European or US IB background ◼ Excellent academic credentials with a master’s in finance or business degree preferred ◼ Strong analytical skills ◼ Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills

Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Languages: Fluent in English and Arabic

Nationality: Saudi or GCC National
