Job Overview
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Reporting to: CEO
- Integrated and aggregated risk management at bank level
2. Risk management culture in the Bank
3. Organization business risks are under control and appropriate hedging is done for risks arising out of business
4. Organization business portfolio is diversified and adheres to the Organization’s credit policies and procedures and target market guidelines at Bank level
5. Talent acquisition, retention and growth within the Risk management group
6. Highly motivated and effective management team
Financials/Output related activities (Income/Expenses/Profit etc)
- Establish Risk management policies, standards and practices for the approval, measurement, reporting, monitoring and analysis of risk
- Major contributor towards Bank’s vision, objectives and financial targets as assigned by the CEO
- Establishing risk management culture, which promotes good analysis, judgment, flexibility and balance between risk and reward
- Approving exceptions to risk management policies
- Evaluate new business initiatives and opportunities from a risk and reward perspective
Customer/Product/Market related activities (Internal / External) (e.g. Satisfaction, Acquisition, Retention, Cross-sell/Share-of-wallet, Relationship, Service, Product/Solutions)
- Establishing ,in conjunction with the business, risk reporting requirements
- Maintain close relationships with all relevant Central Banks and related Government bodies/ Departments and international / domestic rating agencies
Process/Technical related activities (e.g. Risk, Controls, Compliance, Audit, Productivity, Quality, Discipline, Change Management, Adaptability, Success Transfer)
- Reporting all policy exceptions to the CEO and Executive committee of the Board and requesting their additional approval
- Approving extensions of credit as required by polices
- Ensure that market liquidity policies are effective and adhered to
People/Leadership/Teamwork/Corporate Citizenship related activities (e.g. Collaboration/Team work, Knowledge sharing, Development, Sharing Resources/Helping others)
- Approving appointment of Senior Credit Officers, Senior Securities Officers, Risk Managers and Market Risk Managers
- Develop and lead a team of highly skilled professionals who can assist in driving the business as per strategy and within approved policies and guidelines

Qualifications: Masters Degree / PG Diploma (Major: Business Administration)
