Location                        Cairo, Egypt

Role Purpose

To work with the Chief Financial Services Officer (CFSO) to build a leading Financial Services Company in Egypt. Develop strategy for the Company and implement the strategy with guidance and direction from the CFSO. Will be responsible for all operations and day-to-day running of the operation.

1. Strategic

Planning

§      Establishes the strategic milestones and targets together with the necessary initiatives and programs within each functions to ensure they are correctly aligned with Company’s business strategy

§      Sets Company-wide processes, procedures, and programs based on approved strategic and operational plans, and ensures their alignment with internal, domestic, and international regulatory requirements

§      Develops the strategy, based on a long-term vision in his business and with inputs from key leadership team, and gets it approved by the CFSO and Board. Ensures implementation, in line with the overall business objectives and mission of the Company, as well as with regulatory guidelines

§      Holds  regular  reviews  to  assess  performance  against  objectives;  provide appropriate direction; feedback and change in strategy, if necessary

§      Ensures appropriate processes and resources to enable the development of new ideas and plans for new products, services and schemes, aimed at improving market share, customer service and overall performance of the

Company

2. Business Drivers and Strategy

§      Develops Company’s annual business plan and budget

§      Tracks progress against the annual business targets and budget and takes corrective action as required

§      Continually monitors and analyses local and international markets, including

industry and segment trends to identify and realize opportunities for business development/expansion

§      Focuses Company’s business units on achieving their business targets

3. Operational

§      Establishes  and  maintains  effective  relationships  with  key  internal  (ALJ) companies and stakeholders, and external parties and institutions (such as Financial Regulatory Authority, Financial Institutions, major Banks, key customer’s etc.)

§      Monitors  regularly  the  performance  of  customer-facing  functions  of  the

Company to ensure that the desired “sales” and “customer” focus is maintained

and operational efficiency enhanced. Advises on the approach to be adopted for managing key and critical relationships

§      Provides direction and guidance to the operational heads of each business unit to help them achieve strategic and operational goals

4. People

Management

§      Provides leadership and direction to the Company’s leadership team for the execution of their responsibilities in line with the strategic plan

§      Leads, guides, evaluates and develops a team of senior professionals and creates an organizational framework which supports delegation of authority and recognizes outstanding performance

§      Contributes to development of organization structure and participates in the

selection of senior professionals for key positions to ensure that a Management structure is in place that is fully responsive to the opportunities and risks in the marketplace

§      Actively supports HR initiatives of the Company

5. Risk Mitigation

§      Ensures  that  there  is  a  clearly  defined  risk  tolerance  level  that  meets

Government regulations and international standards

§      Works with the CFSO and Risk Management teams to ensure all systems meet the risk standards set/approved by the Board

§      Continuously monitors the market to understand impact of developments and associated risk, to make changes to operational procedures in a timely manner

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Industry/Domain          §      Significant  experience  in  the  implementation  and  management  of  Financial  Leasing regulations set forth by FRA

§      Minimum  of  7  –  10  years  of  experience  as  a  senior  professional  /  executive  in  the financial/banking sector with a proven track record, recognized within  Egypt as well as

internationally and particularly in the region

§      Advanced knowledge of credit compliance regulations, banking/financial laws, business law, internal operational policies and procedures, credit/financial products and services in the

automotive industry

Education & Certification requirements

§      Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Finance; a Master’s Degree will be preferred

Technical Skills

§      Deep knowledge of the financial markets and credit instruments in the automotive industry in

Egypt

§      Strong negotiation and sales skils with an ability to build good balance of risk vs rewards

§      Integrity, good communicator and teamworker
